New plugins I’m now using

New Synth SIGNA  by soundghost very atmospheric bit like Novum by Dawesome which I’m starting to use as a soundbed for my tracks,

Volcano filter plugin very good by fab filter really creative , Ocean Rev new reverb by Arturia very different from other reverbs,  very creative sound design algorithms, also another filter by Arturia called filter MS-20 proper gnarly/gritty, love it

When I started using SIGNA it doesn’t have so many knobs and dials so I started modulating all the parameters, I always have done a bit of that but now I’m looking at everything to see how I can make static sounds move more, little elements twisting and turning digging deep into the background.

Another thing I’m digging into now  is my Solar 42N by ELTA  Music the hardware synth I got a while back, at the time when I got it I was in the middle of mixing and mastering Soundscapes 2 being a double album was a bit of a task,  so trying to learn a completely new way of using a synth with cables and proper knobs was almost overwhelming and stupidly I was doing a course for Serum 2 at the same time which is totally full on vst/soft synth so both of those went on the  back burner whilst I got the album together and maybe that’s  why I had to pause the album once released cos my head was getting pulled in different directions, a lesson learned in a painful way perhaps,

My problem is I’m  always pushing my limits not sure I know how to slow down but I’m gonna have to concentrate one thing at a time in the future.

This started out as a small piece about my new toys and turned deep into my mindset.

As I’m  doing this I’m sitting outside headphones on listening to Soundscapes 2 and it’s now getting dark so  waiting for the stars to arrive which is really cool for listening to this album and maybe all of my albums but it’s always been too cold or wet to do this.

So I suggest you do the same put some cans on and get outside and look at the stars like me with this music on.
